The MaxYs™ laser works exceptionally well for the treatment of dark pigmented skin on the chest, hands, and body.
Fine, light hair on the lip, chin, and arms can be the most resistant, but with this laser it can be permanently removed.
Safe for individuals with dark or tanned skin, whereas other laser hair removal systems are typically reserved for individuals with fair skin.
Little to no discomfort or downtime.
Ideal for individuals who want to achieve maximum results, without having to take time off from day-to-day activities.
The MaxR™ laser works exceptionally well for hair removal on larger areas, such as the back, legs, and chest.
Permanently eliminates time-consuming shaving, waxing, and tweezing, which only temporarily removes hair.
Safe for individuals with dark or tanned skin, whereas other laser hair removal systems are typically reserved for individuals with fair skin.
Little to no discomfort or downtime.
Ideal for individuals who want to achieve maximum results, without having to take time off from day-to-day activities.
This intense pulsed light (IPL) system emits highly controlled light energy into areas of skin imperfection. Once the light is absorbed by the skin, heat is generated to destroy melanin, which is a black to brown pigment responsible for hyperpigmentation of skin.
The result is that pigmented lesions will disintegrate and naturally expel from the body. Gradually, the skin becomes even, smoother, and healthier.
When used for hair removal, heat energy from the laser disintegrates structures of the hair follicle, impairing its ability to regrow hair. After each treatment, more hair follicles will be destroyed, leaving the area smooth and hair-free.
It is important to note that hair on our bodies goes through three different phases. There is the anagen phase, when growth of hair occurs, the catagen phase, when hair stops growing, and the telogen phase, when hair sheds. Laser hair removal is effective only in the anagen phase. Most individuals will need somewhere between five and ten laser sessions to completely and permanently remove all hair from a treatment area.
Laser treatments are scheduled at least eight weeks apart to allow the hair to return to the anagen phase.
After a few laser hair removal treatment sessions, patients will notice results, with maximum results occurring towards final treatment sessions. Each session is approximately eight weeks apart.
For dark pigment removal, individuals may require only one to three sessions for significant results in reduction of dark spots.
Individuals with darker, tanned skin may require additional treatment sessions.
The MaxYs™ and MaxR™ laser system can be safely used on all skin types, including darker or tanned skin.
Dark hair is ideal for hair removal. Hair that is white, blonde, or red is not ideal, as the laser selectively targets dark hair follicles.
It is also not recommended for individuals who have had recent sunburns, are pregnant, have a history of seizures, have severe dermatitis or eczema (within the treatment area), have active skin infections, or who have used Accutane within the previous six months.
If you are uncertain whether you are a candidate, our practitioner can perform a thorough skin evaluation to determine if you are a candidate and if this procedure will provide the results you are looking for.
