GLP-1 (Glucagon-like peptide-1), is secreted in the gut and targets receptors throughout the body, including the brain.
When you are eating, GLP-1 sends the brain the “I’m full” signal.
This hormone also causes you to feel full QUICKER.
It decreases “gastric emptying,” the process by which stomach contents are moved into the first part of the small intestine which in turn causes you to feel full LONGER.
GLP-1 also stimulates your body to create more insulin which removes sugar from the bloodstream. This helps to reduce our appetite and cravings for sweets.

During your first weight loss visit you will meet with our provider in office or through telehealth and discuss your current physical health, weight loss goals and prior attempts at weight loss.
If you have not completed blood work in the past year we will complete a weight loss panel to determine if there are any other issues hindering you from losing weight.
Once your blood work is received and reviewed, provided that you are a good candidate, we will order and ship compounded GLP medication with B-12 to your residence.
You will return to our office, or meet through telehealth, and our staff will provide a demonstration of how to perform the injection. If you are local you have the option to come to our office weekly for your injection.
During the first month of taking Compounded GLP medication we do not recommend starting a “diet plan”. This helps the provider determine your “target” dose.
After your target dose is reached, our health coach will discuss a diet plan customized to help you reach your weight loss goals.
During the weight loss program, you will be closely monitored by our practitioner who can help you determine what dosage is right for you.
This will help you achieve optimum weight loss results as your program is tailored to meet your unique needs.
